GIBBON - Robert Bullemer, 84, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012 at his home in Gibbon.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8 at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon with Father Jeffrey Horejsi officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral mass service. Burial will be in the St. Willibrord's Catholic Cemetery.

Robert is survived by his wife, Delores and their eight children, Robert Jr. of Goleta, Calif., and his children Jason and Nicole; Bruce of Savage; Peter and his wife Faye of Independence and their children Matthew and Beth; Barb and her husband Dylan Beardall of Minneapolis and their children Arielle and Yehoshua; Jack and his wife Cia of Yardley, Penn., and their children Dan and Abby; Joan of Richfield and her children Rose and Frances; Ann and her husband Warren Andersen of Ramsey, NJ, and their daughter Brita; Mary and her husband Craig Parent of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; four great-grandchildren, and a brother, Reuben Bullemer of Afton.

Robert Joseph Bullemer was born on Aug. 12, 1928 to Reuben and Rose (Biebl) Bullemer. Robert attended Gibbon High School and graduated with the class of 1946. He continued his education at the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul and graduated with a bachelor's degree in accounting. On Feb. 3, 1951 Robert married Delores Ludowese of Stewart. Robert and Delores returned to Gibbon in 1953 to operate the family grocery business until retirement in 1992.

In his leisure time, Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Some of his favorite activities included traveling, golfing, playing cards, hunting, fishing and eating chocolate.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation.
