SLEEPY EYE - Ramona A. Peterson, 93, of Sleepy Eye, MN died on Friday, August 24, 2012 at Sleepy Eye Care Center.

Visitation will be at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye on Monday from 5 to 8 PM & will continue on Tuesday for an hour prior to the service at the church.

Service will be held at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Evan on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 10:30 AM. The Clergy will be Rev. Rebecca Krogstad

Ramona Augusta Marie was born on November 11, 1918 in Sanborn, MN the daughter of Albert & Malinda (Heise) Radtke. After her schooling she married Elton Peterson on January 28, 1941 in Sanborn. The couple lived and farmed in Brookville Township until moving to Sleepy Eye in 1985. Elton preceded her in death in 1988. Ramona later moved to Countryside Apartments and the Sleepy Eye Care Center in December of 2010. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, WELCA, Ladies Quilting group, Brookville 49'ers Ext. Group and a 4-H Leader. She was a wonderful cook and seamstress, she enjoyed quilting, crocheting & crafts. Ramona also enjoyed traveling, spending winters in Apache Junction and taking bus trips with her friends from Sleepy Eye. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and visits with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include, her son, Leon (Mary) Peterson of Sleepy Eye, grandchildren & great-grandchildren, Janelle (Dan) Gullickson & their kids Matthew, Mitchell & Alex, Lisa (Todd) Jacoby and Randy Peterson and his kids Sierra, Caleb & Isabella and sister-in-law, Melva Peterson of Sleepy Eye.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elton in 1988 and daughter Berdine in 1991.
