MANKATO - The New Ulm girls soccer team defeated Mankato Loyola 2-0 Friday in nonconference action.
Monica Illikman scored both goals for New Ulm. Sarah Peterson assisted on the second goal.
Shelby Smith had three saves for New Ulm and the Eagles outshot the Crusaders 13-3.
New Ulm (1-0) plays Hutchinson at noon today and Waseca at 4 p.m. today.
