The New Ulm Brewers and Stark Longhorns earned victories on Saturday in the Region 2C amateur baseball playoffs, earning both teams a spot in the state tournament.
The Brewers defeated the Searles Grizzlies 8-3 on Saturday and the Longhorns beat the St. James A's 8-0.
The other two teams advancing from Section 2A are the Lamberton Long Sox and the Leavenworth Orioles. The Long Sox took the No. 1 seed in the region and the Orioles took the No. 4 seed.
Since the Brewers and Longhorns both ended round-robin play with a 3-2 record, they will play today at 2 p.m. at Johnson Park to determine which team will take the No. 2 seed and which team will take the No. 3 seed.
