NEW ULM - The 17th annual Brown County Relay for Life raised $95,305 on Friday night and Saturday morning to help the American Cancer Society research ways to fight cancer.
The event featured 127 cancer survivors participating in the Suvivor's Lap on Friday night, with 4,500 luminaries lining the grounds.
The top fundraising team this year was Citizen's Bank with $17,304 and New Ulm Medical Center with $8,654. The top individual fundraisers were Jeanne Kretsch with $3,265 and Beth Wendinger with $2,645.

2012 Brown County Relay for Life Steering Committee Co-chair Sue Dietz said she very pleased with the results this year.
