REDWOOD FALLS - A 28-year-old Redwood Falls man was seriously injured Thursday after falling into Ramsey Falls after trying to take a photograph at Ramsey Park.
Redwood Falls Police said Enrique Larez of Redwood Falls was breathing but unresponsive when he was initially found at the bottom of the water falls by police who received a 911 call from one of Larez' friends at 12:56 p.m. Thursday. Larez was transported to the Redwood Area Hospital.
"The extent of his injuries is unknown," said Redwood Falls Assistant Police Chief Jason Cotner. "Based on his condition and the height of the fall, it would be a serious injury. Plus the water level is way down."
The Redwood County Sheriff's Office, Redwood Falls Fire & Rescue and North Ambulance assisted at the scene. Redwood Falls Police are investigating the case.
