Litchfield uses big inning to top New Ulm Blue

NEW?ULM - Litchfield scored eight runs in the second inning as it defeated New Ulm Blue 12-1 in five innings Thursday at Mueller Park.

Leadoff hitter Mike Spreiter sparked the Litchfield offense with a pair of triples and two runs scored.

Edward Estrada went 3-for-4 with a single, double, and a triple.

Jim Holstein, Javen Munce, and DeAndre Parker each singled for New Ulm. Holstein picked up the lone RBI for New Ulm.

Dave Hamm was the winning pitcher. He pitched all five innings, allowing one run on three hits. He walked two and struck out one.

Cole Dulas took the loss, he allowed eight runs on five hits and three walks in one and 2/3 innings.
