Motorists will experience delays while traveling on Highway 4 from Cosmos to Fairfax beginning Monday, July 23 as crews begin resurfacing the road, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Flaggers and a pilot car will control traffic throughout the project to maintain safety of motorists and work crews.
Duininck Inc. is the contractor for the 28-mile, $2.37 million project, which will remove and replace the top 1.5 inches of pavement.
The project is separate from an earlier resurfacing project that took place in Hector on June 29.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slowdown in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones. For updated statewide road conditions and construction information, call 5-1-1 or visit www.511mn.org.
