MONTGOMERY - The New Ulm 16U Red HotShots softball team rebounded from a 5-1 loss in Game 1 of a Tuesday doubleheader against Montgomery to win Game 2 by a 6-5 score.
Hannah Backer took the loss in the circle for the HotShots in Game 1. The team was paced at the plate in the game by Briana Sieve (1-for-2) and Emily Grob (2-for-2).
Abby Kamm was the winning pitcher in Game 2. New Ulm was led on offense by Sieve (2-for-3), Backer (1-for-2) and Kristin Mohr (2-for-2).
The HotShots (19-10) will play the New Ulm 18s on Thursday.
