SEARLES - The New Ulm Legion Gold baseball team received a number of big hits in a 11-1 victory against Pine Island in Searles on Saturday.
Colin Wenninger (one run, three hits, eight strikeouts, two walks) earned the win for New Ulm.
Gold's offense was paced by Zach Hoffmann (4-for-4, double, home run, three RBI), Drew Pfaff (3-for-5, three RBI, home run, double) and Kevin Larson (2-for-4, three runs, two doubles, RBI).
New Ulm (7-4) will next play Monday at Mankato.
