Beatrice "Bea" Klinkner

HANSKA - Beatrice "Bea" Klinkner, 77, of Hanska, died Saturday, June 23, 2012, at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis as a result of injuries she sustained in an automobile accident near Brownton.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 29, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with Monsignor John A. Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Searles.

Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 - 10 a.m. Friday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.

Bea is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Colleen and Ken Marketon of Howard Lake, Beverly and Pete Hoffman of New Ulm, Diane and Pat Wimmer of St. Cloud; sons, Kenny Klinkner of Hanska, Pat Klinkner of Searles; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and by a sister and brother-in-law, Bernadine and Herman Mettler of Nicollet.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett Klinkner in 2011; daughter, Patricia Ann in 1960; great-granddaughter, Hope Tauer in 2009; and by a brother, Robert Ellingson in 1998.

Beatrice Hazel Ellingson was born July 25, 1934 in Nicollet to John and Sophia (Kubishak) Ellingson. She was a 1952 graduate of Nicollet High School. Bea was united in marriage to Everett Klinkner on January 29, 1957, at the St. Paul's Catholic Church in Nicollet. After marriage they farmed near Searles. Bea was employed at New Ulm Furniture for more than 30 years until the present. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining, shopping and having coffee with friends and family.

Bea was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Nicollet American Legion Auxiliary.
