New Ulm Legion Gold

GRAND?RAPIDS - New Ulm Legion Gold fell to Alexandria, 6-2 and also to North St. Paul, 15-2 in Sunday action at the Grand Rapids tournament.

Earlier in the day, Gold defeated Grand Rapids 6-3 in a game that had been suspended by rain on Saturday.

In the win over Grand Rapids, Cole Wendinger was the winning pitcher, going seven innings, allowing three runs, three hits, and getting four strikeouts.

Gold hitters were Kevin Larson, 2-for-4; and Jason Shaul, 2-for-4, two RBI. Zach Hoffmann hit a three-run home run.

Kaiserhoff

BELLE?PLAINE - The New Ulm Kaiserhoff lost to Belle Plaine 12-3 Sunday in amateur action.

Erik Curry had two hits. Ben Wolf had one double. Jordan Schneider was losing pitcher.

The Kaiserhoff record is 1-7, and plays at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at LeSueur

New Ulm Legion Blue

MANKATO - New Ulm Legion Blue defeated Austin 10-8 Sunday in the Mankato tournament.

Andy DeRock was the winning pitcher. Blue hitters were Jim Holstein, three hits; and Cole Dulas, one single and one double. Blue won two games and lost two games in the tourney. Blue plays Mankato at 8 p.m. today at Mueller Park in New Ulm.
