MANKATO - The New Ulm Blue Legion baseball team lost its opener at the Mankato Tournament on Friday night, falling to Apple Valley by an 11-2 score.
Dominic Camacho (six innings pitched, eight runs) took the loss for New Ulm.
Javen Munce led New Ulm's four-hit offense with a double, with Jake Gieseke, DeAndre Parker and Josh Kienlen each adding a single.
New Ulm Blue (2-3) will resume tournament play today, facing Prior Lake at 10:30 a.m. and Litchfield at 1 p.m.
