NEW ULM - Destany Thomsen, 6, of New Ulm, died on June 19, 2012, at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, after having been diagnosed with a brain tumor (DPIG).
Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1407 Cedar Ave., Glencoe, with a pot luck dinner immediately following the funeral service.
Visitation is at 3:30 p.m. at the church.
McBride Funeral Chapel, 1222 Hennepin Avenue, Glencoe is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her mother, Melinda (Adams) Simmons; step father, Shaun Simmons; father, Joey Thomsen; brothers, Kale Thomsen, Gaven Simmons, Gabriel Adams, step brothers, Blaine Simmons, Cameron Simmons; grandmothers, Sandie Adams-Bruins, Donna Simmons, Rosemarie Barry; grandfathers, Charles Adams, (Tammy Lannoye), Scott Svenddal; and great grandparents, Ed and Rev. Dawn Lundgren, and Dorothy Adams.
She was born July 23, 2005, in Glencoe.
