COMFREY - Irene Eckstein, 84, of Comfrey, died at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield on Tuesday, June 19, 2012.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Comfrey with burial at New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will 4-8 p.m., Thursday, June 21, at Sturm Funeral Home in Comfrey. Visitation will continue one hour before the service Friday at the church.
Irene was born on Dec. 21, 1927, in Lafayette, to Alfred and Caroline (Huss) Schaeffler.
She is survived by her husband Edward of Comfrey.
