NEW ULM - Essig defeated the New Ulm Brewers in Tomahawk East League amateur baseball Monday.
Dusty Fleck earned the complete-game win for Essig. He allowed seven hits and one walk while striking out three.
Offensively for Essig, Fleck was 3-for-5 with a run and three RBI. Kyle Helget was 3-for-4 with two runs scored.
For New Ulm, Chris Peters was 3-for-4 with a double and Wade French had a grand slam and five RBI.
Essig (7-5) is at Springfield Wednesday and New Ulm (8-2) is at Leavenworth Wednesday.
