MITCHELL, S.D. - Two Sleepy Eye Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters, Jeremy Ibarra and Enrique Guerra, won by Technical Knock Out Friday in their fighting debuts at the Corn Palace.
Ibarra fought in the 130-pound division and Guerra in the 170-pound class.
"They were in shape and it showed last night... One promoter commented they 'were the best fighters on the card,'" said Dungeons Gym, Sleepy Eye trainer Brent Mielke, who accompanied the fighters to South Dakota.
"Just because we won doesn't mean we take a day of training off," he added.
