To the editor:
Congratulations to both the New Ulm Eagles and the New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds softball teams and coaches on their first and third place finishes in the state tournament! The players, coaches, athletic departments, administrations, and fans are all to be commended for their displays of athleticism, support and sportsmanship throughout their seasons. It isn't often that teams that participate in the state tournament can say that the last game that they played was a victory. Yet, this year, both the Eagles and Greyhounds can take joy in their successes. Congratulations, ladies! You made all of us proud!
