SLEEPY EYE - Sleepy Eye VFW sent 17 batters to the plate in the second inning and defeated Lamberton 13-2 in five innings Tuesday.
Elliot Braun picked up the complete-game win for Sleepy Eye. He gave up two runs and two hits. He walked two and struck out seven. Brandon Helget was 2-for-2 with three RBIs and David Suprenant and Jake Mielke were 2-for-3.
Sleepy Eye (2-1) hosts Lake Crystal at noon Saturday in a doubleheader.
