SPRINGFIELD - Mary C. Bates, 96, of Springfield, died Thursday, May 31, 2012, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield, with burial at St. Raphael's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 6, from 4-7 p.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. Visitation will continue one hour before the service Thursday at the church.
There will be a parish prayer service on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary C. Bates was born on Jan.12, 1916, in Leavenworth Township, Brown County, to John and Theresa (Weber) Treml.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Bates of Springfield.
