Nothing discriminatory in God's word

May 30, 2012

To the editor:

I read Mr. Thom's letter several times. I didn't consider it bullying or discriminatory as Jennica Date does. I will not argue legalities. Rather the statement towards the end of Date's letter concerning misinterpreted Bible verses. 1 Corinthians 7: 2 says "let every man have his own wife and let every woman have her own husband." Misinterpret that for me. I Corinthians 6:8-9-10 is quite explicit on punishment for various sins. Try that on for size. Hebrews 13:8 says "JesusChrist the same yesterday and today and forever."

Some may call that discriminatory. I call it God's word and warning. Eternity is a long time and transcends all earthly beliefs, constitutions, and what have you. If you do not believe the inerrancy of Scripture, the above probably means nothing to you. Someday it will. Happy evolving, Jennica.
