The New Ulm American Legion Auxiliary Post 132 crowned Bethany Janssen its first Poppy Princess Friday at the Legion Club in New Ulm. This is the first year for the contest which was open to fourth-grade students and involved writing an essay about poppies. Janssen will return next year to pass on her crown to the next princess.
