NICOLLET - The Nicollet Board of Education recently hired a full-time school principal and part-time superintendent who will begin two-year contracts July 1.
Jennifer Baumgartner's k-12 principal contract covers the full cost of single health insurance costs, disability, dental and $50,000 term life insurance, $2,000 a year district matching for a 403b retirement account and 1.25 sick days a month.
Currently a Spanish teacher in Waconia with other teaching experience at Murray County Central, Baumgartner's first-year salary will be $80,000 and $80,800 the second year.
Retiring Blue Earth Area High School Principal Jack Eustice will begin a two-year, two-day a week contract in Nicollet on July 1. His $463-a-day contract will not provide health or life insurance, paid vacation, holiday or sick leave.
