To the editor:
Some years back when I still was a guide on city bus tours for the Chamber of Commerce, I heard many comments from visitors about how neat and clean our city looked. However, that has changed dramatically this year.
There are hundreds of lawns that haven't been visited by a lawn mower this spring. Not only are these lawns unsightly, but they detract from the rest of the neighborhood. Now the dandelions are going to seed and the winds will blow that seed onto the well-kept lawns of neighbors.
If you don't want to mow your lawn, move into an apartment where you will wind up paying for lawn service.
