Nicollet County approves permits

April 26, 2012
The Journal

ST. PETER - Following questions by citizens Tuesday, Nicollet County commissioners approved conditional use permits in Courtland and New Sweden townships.

Questions about a lagoon, fences to be installed, USDA assistance and replacement or repair of earthen bunkers were answered before all commissioners approved a permit application request by Kurt Klaustermeier for Rolling Hills Dairy in Courtland Township,

Commissioners approved by a 4-1 vote a permit to build a new hog facility from Steve and Lincoln Langhorst. The facility will include a total confinement gestation barn and confinement farrowing barn in New Sweden Township. The approval came after discussion about odor concerns and whether to table the permit.
