NEW?ULM - Six MVL students made finals at the Section 2A speech tournament held at St. Peter on Saturday, March 14. Izaak Wendorff placed fourth in informative, Emilee Plocher placed fifth and Sophia Weisensel sixth in poetry, and Claire Weichman placed sixth in extemp reading. Josh Jones placed second in creative expression and will advance to state. Abby Paustian placed second in great speeches and will also advance to the state competition held in Chanhassen on Friday, April 20.
