To the editor:
I don't understand why so many legislators and other Minnesotans are opposed to the photo identification bill.
Once you have a photo ID such as a driver's license or other form of identification, you can do lots of things besides voting.
Some examples: when you are pulled over by the police; when making major credit card purchases; when you renew your driver's license or passport; when donating blood; when obtaining certain prescription drugs; when you cash a check at a bank other than your regular one; when collecting a boarding pass for airline or train travel.
All legal citizens should have a photo ID.
