NEW ULM - Michael J. Olson has taken over the Edward Jones office at 26 N. Broadway, the firm announced last week. Olson assumes the position of financial advisor from Todd J. Olson.
Michael J. Olson graduated from Hamline University in St. Paul with a business and legal studies major and a economic minor in 2008. During that time he also coached hockey for four years. After graduation he worked for Medtronic doing medical sales from 2008-2011. In November of 2011 he started with Edward Jones.
Michael J. Olson and his wife Ellyse have two sons, Brady, 5; and Payton, 18 months. They moved to New Ulm in January of 2012. Ellyse works at KNUJ in advertising sales.
Edward Jones, which ranked fifth on Fortune Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For" in 2012, is headquartered in St. Louis, Mo.
