To the editor:
Saturday, March 17th marked the 47th Annual St. Patrick's Day Festival. If you missed it, you most likely missed the only parade in March when we enjoyed 70 degree temperatures.
The St. Patrick's Day committee would like to thank all those who made this possible: the committee, The Journal, KNUJ, Retzlaff's, the Grand Kabaret, and the Irish hideout all these years, "Don's Pub" (the Kaiserhoff). Most of all, the people of New Ulm who enjoyed poking fun at each other need to be thanked. If you have ideas for next year's celebration or still need a T-shirt, please feel free to contact me. By the way, Hermann did return to guard over the city!
