The 150 year-old birch bark canoe was lowered by crane out of a third story window of the Brown County Historical Society Museum Friday in New Ulm. The canoe, which has been on loan to the BCHS since the 1980's from the Goedtel family, was moved to the annex building to make room for the new exhibit on the 150 Anniversary of the Dakota Conflict. The new exhibit entitled 'We Will Never Forget' will open Aug. 24.
