Kerrville, Texas - Agnes C. McLendon, 96, of Kerrville, Texas, passed from this life at a local Kerrville hospital on Monday, January 30, 2012.
She was born in Comfrey, Minn., on Aug. 28, 1915, to Albert J. and Mary (Zwaschka) Rathman. She had been a resident of Kerrville since 1965.
On August 11, 1965, she married Joseph A. McLendon.
Agnes is predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph; her parents; 3 brothers, Leonard, Norbert and Jerome; and by a sister, Veronica Hillesheim.
She is survived by sister, Eleanor Fischer of Sleepy Eye, MN; nieces and nephews and many cherished friends.
A memorial mass will be held at Notre Dame Catholic Church, Kerrville, on February 15, 2012 at 9:30 a.m.
The family suggests that donations in her name be made to St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store or to an animal shelter.
