To the editor:
I am extremely disappointed at the inaccurate, sensationalistic headline on the front page of the Journal this morning which declared "House GOP Blocks Tax Cuts." Considering that what the House rejected was a temporary 2-month extension of the payroll tax cut in favor of a year-long extension, would it not have been much more reflective of the facts to have a headline which stated "House Insists on 1-Year Tax Cut Extension; Rejects 2-month Senate Fix"?
To print a headline which leaves the impression that the House GOP is opposed to this tax cut when the fact is that they opposed the Senate bill because the tax cut included in it wasn't long ENOUGH does a disservice to your readers.
