To the editor:
The outcome of the latest referendum has disappointed me greatly. By putting the quality of our children's education last, we're putting the quality of our future last.
It disheartens me to see the lack of support our community has for its youth. We have lost sight for what is truly important, consumed by greed to save our money. But what is more important than a future of educated, well rounded citizens who want to give back to the community that gave so much to them? This is a future that will not happen because New Ulm consistently puts education last on its list of priorities.
I am scared for the future of New Ulm, as I fear it will not be a bright one.
