NEW ULM - Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes recently distributed more than $45,000 in dividend checks to families of members who had funerals in 2000.
One hundred and eighty-five families received the dividends. According to MVFH General Manager Bruce Savoy, the checks represented the balance of the dividends for 2000.
MVFH operates as a cooperative in which profits are returned to members through dividends. MVFH has chapels in New Ulm, Gibbon and Nicollet and serves other surrounding communities from those locations.
