Fargo suspect in online ad case pleads not guilty

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A Fargo man accused of using a knife to cut a man whom he lured through an online sex ad has pleaded not guilty to felony robbery and kidnapping charges.

Eighteen-year-old Obsa Omer entered his pleas on Thursday. A trial date was not immediately set.

Authorities say the victim had responded to a Craigslist ad placed by Omer when he was assaulted. KFGO radio reports ( ) that police in Fargo and neighboring Moorhead, Minnesota, suspect Omer in other assaults and robberies in the area.
