Commissioners to act on county park residence

28’x38 unit costs $55,483

NEW ULM - Brown County commissioners will consider buying a Lake Hanska County Park caretaker's home on Tuesday, July 5.

After reviewing quotes, the Brown County Building Committee recommended buying a 28'x38,' 3-bedroom, one-bath remanufactured home from Excelsior Homes of Hutchinson for $55,483 as long as construction takes place in the same area of the previous home.

The cost includes freight to site, set-up, sales tax, frost piers, insulated perimeter skirting, water/sewer hookup, central air, 5-year warranty, fridge and oven range, furnace and hot water.

Higher bids were received from Anderson Homes, Inc., Sebeka; Life Style Homes, Litchfield; Countryside Homes, Mankato; and Factory Home Center, Redwood Falls, according to the Request For Board Action (RBA).

Commissioners will consider:

A Daycare Consultation Contract between Brown County Public Health and Kid's Xcel Center for statutorily-required nursing consultations.

Repurchasing a tax-forfeited land parcel at 326 End Avenue East, Springfield. Taxpayers have agreed to pay $1,304.57 in delinquent taxes as of July 31, 2011.

The meeting starts at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Brown County Courthouse Commissioner's Room.
