NEW ULM - Sharon Nordby, Citizens Bank Minnesota, is retiring on July 15 after 44 years of service to the bank.
Her professional career started at the bank in January 1967 as a teller. Through the years she continued to work in the teller line and was promoted to Assistant Cashier/Operations Officer in 1989.
Nordby has been involved in a couple of major bank renovations and has seen the transactions go from being posted by hand to converting everything to a computerized system.
A public open house honoring Nordby's years of service will be Friday, July 15, from 1 to 3 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
