DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Three Minnesota memorial services have been set to honor Congressman Jim Oberstar.

Two of those services will be held in northeastern Minnesota, the territory the congressman served for 18 terms. Oberstar died last month at his home in suburban Washington, D.C., at age 79.

WDIO-TV (http://bit.ly/1mjgBXy ) says one service will be held at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center Friday, June 27 at 1 p.m. Another is scheduled at 7 p.m. the same day at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chisholm where Oberstar grew up.

Another service will be held June 26 at Cowles Auditorium in the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus.

Oberstar was Minnesota's longest serving congressman, holding the 8th District seat for 36 years.
