The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning in effect from midnight tonight to midnight cst saturday night...

This is the forecast for the area including the counties of Brown, Watonwan, Martin, including the cities of New Ulm, St. James, Fairmont.

Rest of tonight...Light freezing rain and snow. New snow accumulation of 2 to 6 inches. Little or no new ice accumulation. Lows around 15. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph shifting to the northeast with gusts to around 30 mph after midnight.

Saturday...Colder...Windy...Snow. Blowing and drifting snow. Snow accumulation of 4 to 5 inches. Highs around 15. Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph.

Saturday night...Much colder. Windy. Partly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of snow in the evening...Then mostly clear after midnight. Areas of blowing and drifting snow through the night. Lows 10 below to 15 below zero. North winds 25 to 35 mph shifting to the northwest 15 to 30 mph after midnight.

Sunday...Colder. Mostly sunny. Highs around 5 below. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph.

Sunday night...Mostly clear. Lows around 15 below. Northwest winds 5 to 15 mph.

Monday and Monday night...Partly cloudy. Highs zero to 5 above zero. Lows around 10 below.
