Event planning firm opens downtown

NEW ULM - A new business opened Nov. 1 in the downtown building formerly occupied by Interior Motives.

Offering their own services and consignment products from local vendors, Tammy and Kelli Buegler of New Ulm created T&K Event Planners and Decorators at 20 N. Minnesota St.

Tammy Buegler said she and her daughter Kelli fell in love with the business space and got a lease after they toured it with Barb Stierling of the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce after deciding to expand their business.

The front portion of the store features local, hand-made gifts including glassware, jewelry, leather goods, baby quilts, children's clothes, purses plus candy and balloon bouquet gift baskets.

The Bueglers have coordinated and decorated weddings, anniversaries, parties and other events for years.

"Some people want us to do everything from scratch, while others want to do somethings themselves and we just decorate," Tammy Buegler said.

She said the firm guides people through the process so they can make informed decisions.

Consultation services include budgeting, location search and availability, style and design, vendor selection and etiquette guidance.

Decorating details include table top linens, overlays, runners, centerpieces, backdrops, lighting, ceiling, chair covers and candy tables.

Mock-up event tables are set up in the rear of the store.

Hours are 1-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and by appointment.
