Rotary to hold Scholarship Banquet
NEW ULM - The 43rd annual New Ulm Rotary Scholarship Recognition Banquet will be Monday, March 29, at the Martin Luther College gymnasium, beginning at 6:30 pm.
This banquet recognizes the academic top 15 percent of the graduating classes for New Ulm Cathedral, New Ulm High School, and Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School. The guest speaker will be Pat McGill, of Arnolds Park, Iowa. McGill's presentation will be on 'capitalizing on personal challenges in real life situations.'
The New Ulm Rotary club also sponsors the "Service Above Self" award and scholarship. This award and scholarship is given at the banquet to one member of each school's graduation class who demonstrated 'Service Above Self' in their attitude in school, the community and their own personal development.
