Mayer Lutheran holds off Sibley East

SIBLEY EAST - Marshall Bjorklund had 26 points and 13 rebounds and Ian Berg added 21 points but it wasn't enough as Mayer Lutheran beat Sibley East 60-57 Thursday night in Minnesota River Conference boys basketball action.

The Crusaders who improve to 12-1 overall and 5-0 conference was down 30-21 at halftime.

Butten Hoff led Mayer Lutheran (10-2, 4-1) with 13 points.

Sibley East travels to Le Sueur-Henderson Tuesday.

Springfield 91,

Sleepy Eye 56

SPRINGFIELD - The Springfield Tigers defeated the Sleepy Eye Indians 91-56 Thursday night in a Tomahawk Conference boys basketball matchup.

The Tigers were led by Jordan Milbrath with 22 points. Jessie Kieper had 16 points, Dillon Schultz 13 points, and Tyler Marz had 12 points.

Sleepy Eye was led by Tyler Hadley with 11 points.

Springfield improves its record to 11-1 and hosts Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Monday night at 7:30 p.m. while Sleepy Eye travel to Fairfax to play GFW tonight.
