Connecting Point Technologies, operated by Steve and Sam Bloedow, began in 2002 when Sam opened an office in Sleepy Eye.
A 2000 Sleepy Eye St. Mary's graduate, Sam graduated from Brown College in Minneapolis where he studied IT (information technology).

A former electrical contractor who took online information technology courses, Steve Bloedow joined his son at Connecting Point in 2005.
The company now serves small, medium and larger firms with its 11 employees in three locations - New Ulm, Sleepy Eye and Grand Rapids.
Connecting Point offers security programs to protecting company computer systems from viruses, malware and hackers.
The company specializes in system installation, repairs, upgrades, data cabling, besides selling notebooks, laptop, touchscreen and desktop computers.
Connecting Point's New Ulm business customers include Oak Hills Living Center, Akre & Clark, LTD Family Eye Health Care and Paul's Electric.
At last count, Connecting Point Technologies maintains 82 computer servers and 1,034 computer work stations.
