The Redwood County Sheriff's Department received a 911 call at 10:20 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 4 from the 40133 Res. Highway 3 on the Lower Sioux Community indicating that a baby was not breathing. The baby was transported to the Redwood Falls Hospital by North Ambulance, where at 10:52 a.m. the baby was pronounced dead. The matter is under investigation. Additional information will be provided upon conclusion of the investigation.
