NEW ULM - Frieda Holm, 93, of New Ulm died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Monday, December 21, 2009 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery. Monsignor John A. Richter will celebrate the Mass.

Visitation will be 4 - 8 PM Sunday and 7:30 - 10:30 AM Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The Christian Mother's Society will pray the rosary at 4 PM Sunday at the Cathedral. There will be a parish prayer service at 6 PM and the St. Elizabeth's Catholic Aid Society will pray the rosary at 7 PM both Sunday at the funeral home. Frieda is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Mary Ann Holm, Floyd and Gaill Holm, Hilary and Kathy Holm all of New Ulm; grandchildren, Mike Holm, Stacey Logensgard, Gregg Holm, Heidi Guggisberg, Holly Holm, Josh Holm, Sonja Griebel, Erika Holm, Samantha Dreyer; fifteen great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Sylvester and Theresa Domeier of New Ulm.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond on May 26, 1997; a son, LeRoy on December 26, 1964; sisters, Martha Sellner, Rosa Domeier in infancy, Louisa Bauer, Mary Ann "Peggy" Meyer; and by brothers, Herbert, Ben and Meinrad Domeier.

Frieda Domeier was born April 23, 1916 in Milford Township, Brown County to Andrew and Anna (Bruckbauer) Domeier. She was united in marriage to Raymond Holm on September 21, 1937 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. After marriage they farmed in Sigel Township, Brown County until they retired in 1982. Frieda loved to fish, garden, quilt and raise poultry. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, St. Elizabeth's Catholic Aid Society, Christian Mother's Society and Brown County Home Extension.
