Rudenick, Riley lead All-Journal First Team

FIRST TEAM OFFENSE

Jordan Rudenick, Sr.,

QB, Nicollet

Rudenick passed for 3,172 yards and 33 touchdowns while leading the Raiders to the state championship game. He completed 231 passes and had a total of 3,820 all-purpose yards, which is first all-time in state history according to the Minnesota Football Coaches Association website. He rushed for 640 yards and 12 touchdowns on 158 carries. For his career, he passed for 5,108 yards and 57 touchdowns. He led the Raiders to two comeback wins in the state tournament and was the team captain for three years.

Derek Riley, Sr.,

Running back, Wabasso

Riley rushed for 1,823 yards this season with 21 touchdowns and he was named the Southern Minnesota Conference Offensive Player of the Year.

He was also 7-for-10 in extra point attempts and had seven 2-point conversions. For his career, he ran for 4,927 yards on 708 carries with 65 touchdowns. He had 34 receptions for 485 yards and six touchdowns.

Riley is a two-time honorable mention All-State and his 4,927 rushing yards is the 16th best total in state history.

Jay Rogotzke, Sr., Running back GFW

Rogotzke set a school record with 3,922 career rushing yards. As a senior he ran for 1,537 yards on 190 carries, even though he missed three games due to injury. He finished with 17 touchdowns for the year and was an All-State Honorable Mention. For his career, Rogotzke had 36 touchdowns.

He was a two-time All-Gopher/Valley Conference pick and was a three-time selection to the 4AA All-Section team.

Colby Salonek, Jr., RB, Springfield

Salonek had 1130 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns for the Tigers.

Michael Glawe, Sr., Running back, Cathedral

Glawe had 126 carries for 977 yards and 13 touchdowns this season. It was his only season at running back.

Matt Renne, Sr. WR, Nicollet

Renne caught a school record 69 passes and had 10 touchdowns and 739 yards receiving for the Raiders. He was named all-conference and was just four catches shy of making the Minnesota all-time list.

Zak Neubarth, Sr., Fullback, GFW

Neubarth rushed for 885 yards on 146 carries even though he missed three games to injury. He scored 10 touchdowns and five 2-point conversions. He was the lead blocker for Jay Rogotzke, who ran for 1,537 yards this season.

In the playoffs this season, Neubarth ran for 340 yards and four touchdowns.For his career, he had 3,345 yards on 575 carries with 39 touchdowns. Neubarth was an All-Gopher/Valley selection and he made the All-Section 4AA team.

Dalton Kleinschmidt, Jr., QB, CM/C

Kleinschmidt threw for 2,116 yards and 19 touchdowns. He also had 263 yards rushing and seven touchdowns on the ground.

Frank Johnson, Sr.,

Running back, Cathedral

Johnson was a two-time All-Southern Minnesota Conference selection. This season he had 598 yards on 114 carries with eight touchdowns. He had nine catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns.

For his career, he had 257 carries for 1,497 yards and 16 touchdowns. Johnson also had two touchdown receptions.

Jordan Milbrath, Sr., QB, Springfield

Milbrath led the Tigers to the Section 2A championship game, rushing for 450 yards and 11 touchdowns this year. He passed for 807 yards and two touchdowns. He was an All-State Honorable Mention.

Greg Genelin, Sr., Running back, Cathedral

Genelin was an All-Southern Minnesota Conference selection this season. He had 82 carries for 577 yards and eight touchdowns. He also had three punt returns for touchdowns.
