FJELSTAD, VIVIAN E.

Age 85 of Woodbury,

died peacefully on December 4th. Graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN in 1946, and majored in Home Economics and Biology. Retired from teaching in 1952. Survived by loving husband of 61 years, Luther; son, Mark of Nerstrand; daughter, Margo (Brian Egerman) of Roseville; sisters, Mil Johnson and Grace (Jim) Jacobs; sisters-in-law, Maxine Thorkelson and Margaret Fjelstad; also many other loving relatives and friends. Preceded in death by brother, Willmar Thorkelson. Vee was very active in the WELCA, formerly known as the ALCW. She held various Local and National Offices and attended many National ALCW Conventions. She valued her friends who were members of the Martha Circle. She enjoyed bridge, travel, reading, family gatherings and sunsets at beautiful Ten Mile Lake. Vee and Luther have lived in Henning, Grand Forks, Grand Meadow, Emmons, Wells, New Ulm and since 1971 in Woodbury. Funeral Service Wed 10:30 a.m. at Lutheran Church of Peace (47 So. Century Ave., Maplewood) with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Oaklawn Cemetery, Northfield, MN. Memorials are preferred.
