SLEEPY EYE - Ellen Mae (Hansen) Sandmann, 73, of Sleepy Eye, MN died on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye, MN.
Visitation will be at the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye on Sunday, December 6, 2009 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye, MN.
Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye, MN on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 10:30 AM.
The Clergy will be Pastor Keith R. Ainsley.
Interment will be at Home Cemetery in Sleepy Eye.
Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye, MN.

Ellen Mae Sandmann was born on April 3, 1936 in Rochester, MN, the daughter of Harley C. and Dorothy (Stewart) Hansen. She was united in marriage to Jerry Caldwell on June 24, 1962 and later divorced. She married Warren Sandmann on April 1, 1976. Ellen worked as a waitress and at Del Monte for 20 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye.
She is survived by her children - Kelly (Richard) Weeks of Eden Prairie, MN, Cass Michael Caldwell of New Ulm, and Melody (Michael) Lang of Sleepy Eye; step children - Susan (Wade) Pedersen of Sleepy Eye, Debbie (Tom) Moldaschel of Sleepy Eye, and Warren (Cathy) Sandmann Jr. of Mankato, siblings - Larry (Marge) Hansen of White Bear Lake, Hope Bruce of Forest Lake, Penelope (Michael) Rhoades of Wyoming, Harley (Dorothy) Hansen Jr of White Bear Lake; grandchildren; and step grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband - Warren; brother - Stewart Hansen; nephews - Stewart and Tim Genz and Bobby Hansen; and a niece - Brenda Genz.
