NEW ULM - Esther L. Brueske, 93, of New Ulm, died Monday, Nov. 30, 2009 at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm with Pastor Donald Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm.

Esther is survived by her niece, Betty and her husband, Vernon Rosenau of New Ulm and their children, Randy and Cindy Rosenau and children, Becky and Aaron Braulich and children; nephew, Kenneth and his wife, Gladys Brueske of New Ulm; special friends, Darlene and George Walden of New Ulm and by several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Art Brueske; brothers, Edward and Elmer Garbrecht.
Esther Louise Garbrecht was born on March 4, 1916 to Edward and Minnie (Pehling) Garbrecht in Courtland. On October 9, 1938 she was united in marriage to Arthur Brueske in New Ulm. Esther worked at New Ulm Produce and Shorty's Restaurant in New Ulm. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her dogs.
Esther was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be given to St. Paul's Parish Center or to the donor's choice.
