Lafayette man dies in rollover

NEW SWEDEN - A 56-year-old rural Lafayette man died Saturday night in a single-vehicle rollover accident on Nicollet County Highway 1.

Mark Sondag was driving a westbound semi tractor/trailer about two miles west of State Highway 22 when the vehicle entered the ditch on a curve and rolled.

Sondag was pronounced dead at the accident scene, according to the Nicollet County Sheriff's Office.

The Minnesota State Patrol, Lafayette Fire Department and Ambulance assisted at the scene.
